Experience the best of Kenya and Tanzania!

A Kenya-Tanzania safari brings together two of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations into one amazing adventure. From the open savannahs of the Masai Mara, Kenya, to the endless plains of the Serengeti, Tanzania, and from Amboseli’s elephant herds, Kenya, to the dramatic Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania, this cross-border journey gives you the best safari experience and lets you see Africa at its finest. Every game drive offers encounters with the Big Five, predators in action, and countless bird species, making it the ultimate safari experience in East Africa.

Why choose Kenya-Tanzania for your next safari?

One of the many reasons to choose a safari tour to Kenya and Tanzania is that it gives travelers the rare chance to see nature’s greatest show, the Great Migration. Each year, millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move between Serengeti and Masai Mara in search of greener pastures. Along the way, dramatic river crossings and predator-prey interactions unfold, offering moments that define African safaris. Beyond the migration, Kenya and Tanzania are home to diverse landscapes, rich cultures, and some of the most famous national parks and conservancies in the world.

Highlights of Kenya and Tanzania Safaris

Maasai Mara and Serengeti Connection

No Kenya and Tanzania safari is complete without visiting the Masai Mara in Kenya and the Serengeti in Tanzania. Together, they form one ecosystem where wildlife roams freely across borders. The Masai Mara is famous for big cat sightings, while the Serengeti offers endless horizons and dramatic migration scenes.

Amboseli and Kilimanjaro Views

In southern Kenya, Amboseli National Park is known for its massive elephant herds and clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Including Amboseli in your Kenya-Tanzania safari itinerary ensures you capture those postcard-perfect African moments.

Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder

Often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, the Ngorongoro Crater is a highlight of any Tanzania and Kenya safari. This volcanic caldera shelters lions, rhinos, elephants, and thousands of grazing animals within its fertile basin.

Cultural encounters with the Masai

Beyond wildlife, a Kenya-Tanzania safari tour also offers cultural depth. Meeting Masai communities lets travelers connect with traditions that have remained vibrant for centuries. Their stories, dances, and lifestyles add a unique dimension to the journey.

Planning your Kenya-Tanzania itinerary

A well-crafted Kenya and Tanzania itinerary balances game drives, cultural visits, and time for relaxation. Most tours start in Nairobi or Arusha, then move across famous safari circuits like Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Amboseli. Luxury lodges and tented camps provide comfort while keeping you close to the action.

When planning, it’s essential to consider the best time to travel to Kenya and Tanzania. For the Great Migration, July to October is peak season in Masai Mara, while December to March brings calving season in Serengeti. However, safaris in both countries are rewarding year-round!

Due to wet weather, there may be times when we have to take an alternative route, which will mean longer travel times.
  • Indicated driving times between destinations are estimates and may vary due to prevailing road conditions, weather, and traffic density.
  • Confirmation of Hotels and other services is subject to availability until payment is made. Once we receive the booking amount, we will notify you once hotels are booked.
