Sentosa, formerly called Pulau Blakang Mati, is a resort island in Singapore. It was a British army base along with a Western prisoner-of-war camp, and lots of Chinese were killed on its shore during the Japanese occupation. The island has been renamed Sentosa and become a tourist destination in 1972, and it's currently home to a favorite hotel that receives twenty million people each year. Attractions comprise two km (1.2 mi) long sheltered beach, Fort Siloso, 2 golf courses,the Merlion, 14 resorts, along with also the Resorts World Sentosa, including the theme park Universal Studios Singapore and among Singapore's two casinos, all which are still draw repeat visitors from all around Asia. Located just south of Singapore CBD, the 12-minute cable car trip from VivoCity into Sentosa Island gets the extra bonus of providing astounding panoramic views.

Tanjong Beach

An ideal place to relax, unwind and spend time on a beach as per your liking on your Sentosa Island Tour, Tanjong Beach is your quiet idyllic tropical beach to spend time. There is no separate entry fees for Tanjong beach apart from the one you pay when entering Sentosa islands. It is open 24 hours and you can choose to swim or sun-tan, or just lay under an umbrella reading your favorite book. A great place to spend family time, kids will enjoy making sandcastles and couples can enjoy long walks on the pristine white-sand beach.

Fort Siloso

A place which is of historical importance, the fortress stands near the Siloso beach and used to be an important defense establishment till recently. There is a military museum here which tells the chronology of Singapore’s past and has many relics of World War II. The newly opened SkyWalk that leads up to the fort gives a different perspective from above the treeline of the panoramic view of the Siloso beach and the lush greenery nearby.

Southernmost point of Continental Asia

Through a suspension bridge from Palawan Beach Sentosa, you can reach this small islet which is recognized as the southernmost point in Continental Asia.
