  • Day 1: Delhi-Ramnagar-Garjiya

    Our representative will pick you up from the airport in Delhi from where you will be driven 5 hours to Ramnagar. Check in to the hotel to refresh.

     

    After lunch, in the afternoon, the tour will begin with birding at Garjiya near the Himalayan foothills. The major birds to be spotted are the crested kingfisher, Ibisbill, Nepal wren babbler, and so on.

     

    After sunset, you will be taken to your hotel in Nainital.

  • Day 2: Birding

    In the morning, at sunrise, the birding will start according to different hides and the difference in the front light.

     

    Sattal has nearby areas like Shyamkhet, Chafi, Pangot where you will also be taken for birding by a representative.

     

    The major birds to see are the Maroon Oriole, Brown-Wood Owl, Long-Tailed Broadbill, Green-Finch, Ultramarine Flycatcher, Kaleej Pheasant, the Asian Barred Owlet and so on.

     

    Overnight at Nainital.

     

  • Day 3: Birding

    In the morning, at sunrise, the birding will start according to different hides and the difference in the front light.

  • Day 5: Chopta

    The morning after breakfast will begin with a long drive to Chopta. Along the way, the panoramic view will provide enough opportunities for landscape photography and the sublime view of the Ganges flowing down the mountain paths will be enough to give you a clear idea of the magnificence that lies in the confluence of the rivers at Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag.

     

    A placed called Kakraghat will be reached by 3 pm. Here the riverside provides an opportunity to watch out for the brown dippers, redstarts, and the crested kingfishers.

     

    Chopta will be reached by evening. Overnight at Chopta.

     

  • Day 6: Chopta Tour and Birding

    The tour will begin early in the morning, with Tunganath Chandrashila which is a 4km trek for the Himalayan Monal. A pony can also be arranged if one does not wish to walk.

     

    The target species in Chopta are the Himalayan Red Fox, The Golden Jackal, and the Himalayan Tahr in animals and the Himalayan Monal, Scarlet Finch, Pink Browed Rosefinch, Whiskered Yuhina, Himalayan woodpecker, Green Magpie, Golden Bush Robin and many more.

     

    Overnight at Chopta.

     

  • Day 7: Chopta Tour and Birding

    The tour will begin early in the morning, with Tunganath Chandrashila which is a 4km trek for the Himalayan Monal. A pony can also be arranged if one does not wish to walk.
