Begin your journey by boarding your international flight to Kuching. After arriving at the riverside town of Kuching, you will meet a representative of Wild Voyager who will guide you from this point. Today you shall be free to spend the day exploring the places in the vicinity of your hotel. The Jalan Ban Hock which is also called “New Town” by the local residents is a top suggestion to start your day with. Here, you would find attractive restaurants and street stalls that display the essence of Malaysian atmosphere.
Being your second day, there is more to explore in the town of Kuching. You will be visiting places that fascinate all – Fort Margherita, Istana Palace and The Sarawak Museum which houses priceless tribal artefacts and ethnographic collection. You must never miss checking out China town, the temples and churches in this region too.
Today shall be an exciting day with a journey to Bako National Park where you can have trekking experience and cherish a home-hosted lunch too.
Sabah has some of the world's best scuba diving sites. Today you shall enjoy the most-awaited, Scuba diving adventure. If you’re lucky you can also encounter turtles, hammer head and whale sharks, needless to mention other tiny water creatures. The Scuba diving tickets are usually on high demand and require prior booking. For underwater photographers, this is one of the dream photographic locations in Malaysia.
Trekking lovers, today is your day! The 13,435 feet tall, Mount Kinabalu in Sabah is the tallest mountain in Malaysia and the third-highest peak in Southeast Asia. Gear up for the adventure, for it will be one of the most memorable days in your life. The trek would require a rope-assisted scramble which your Wild Voyager representative will assist you with.
Your tour today will begin with a drive to the Lemenak River where you shall visit a Serian market, a pepper farm and also check out the Semenggok Orangutan Sanctuary to meet the loving creatures during their feeding time. What’s better than winding up the day with a soothing boat ride which shall lead you to the Iban longhouse where you will be heartily welcomed with delicious traditional meals and a treat of dance and music by the local people.
You will be setting off early today, to observe the enchanting sunrise at Borneo, at the summit of Mount Kinabalu. You can spend the day at Kota Kinabalu’s hotel and have a nice time at its 3 km private beach and meandering pool. The hotel has a spa that offers an amazing selection of treatments to relax. During the day, you would also be visiting the park HQ of Mount Kinabalu. You can end the day with a rest one of the resorts at Kota Kinabalu.
The Kinabatangan River shall be your area to explore today. You will visit the ox-bow lake and enjoy jungle boardwalk trails, spotting animals and discovering the wildlife of Malaysia. You can stay at the lodge where you will be provided with food and time to rest.
A trip to the Dipterocarp forest and a nature walk to refresh your mind and body is suggested for today. The resident naturalist will help you around the place and you would find yourself astounded by the friendly creatures that live there – the Proboscis monkey, flying squirrel and many more.
For a touch of a city experience, you will be exploring Kuala Lumpur where you can check out the finest malls and also get an awesome view across the city from the Petronas towers.
Gaya Island, the world-wide famous place for its marine wealth and beaches, is going to astound you today. Speed boat rides, snorkelling and a trip to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park will be on your list today.
Today, being your last day on Gaya Island, you can go on a Kayak ride through the mangrove forests and also try out some fishing lessons too. The rest of the day is free for you to visit places that you want to know more about.
For your departure, you can take a shared speedboat back to Kota Kinabalu from where you will be driven to the airport for your flight. Arrive home today with unforgettable sweet memories.
