This tour provides two memorable wildlife experiences that include tracking Chimpanzees at Kibale National Park and hiking the aptly named Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The Kibale Forest National Park is among the very best safari destinations in Africa for trekking, holding among it some of the most beautiful and varying tracts in Uganda that can only be considered as nature in its true form. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is habitat to over half of the mountain gorillas inhabitants from the Earth, making it Uganda’s top gorilla tours area. You get to experience a range of fauna and flora that gives Uganda its natural beauty and attracts millions of tourists worldwide.
We will pick you up from the airport upon your arrival and transfer you to a local restaurant where you can have breakfast. We will journey towards the west, passing through the Mityana, Mubende, and Kyenjojo districts, and finally, reach our destination of Fort Portal town for a good lunch. We will tour the town for the various cultural and architectural sights, as well as for a chance to shop for local souvenirs. We will then continue to our accommodation that is situated near the Kibale Forest National Park.
Take an early breakfast at 6.30 am and then move to the park head offices to meet up with the rangers to get a briefing regarding chimpanzee trekking. Begin the trek to the woods to discover a set of Chimpanzees. Ensure that you carry enough drinking water with you, as the trek may last for a few hours. We will be happy to provide you with water. After locating the chimpanzees, you're permitted a maximum of an hour of taking photos and engaging, and interacting with them. Following the trek, you can perform a night nature walk from the Bigodi Swamp that is neighboring to see wildlife such as butterflies, birds, reptiles, snakes, and much more.
Take an early breakfast and check out at about 8 am and visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - home of the Mountain Gorillas. Travel southwards through Kasese whilst enjoying magnificent views of the Rwenzori Mountains - the fabled ‘Mountains of the Moon’. You may travel through Bushenyi driving throughout the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, often referred to as Ishasha. The Ishasha is famed for its tree-climbing lions, as well as big game animals like buffalos, elephant, and topi - and you will have a chance to come across all of them. Proceed to Kibale and Rukungiri. Check into your lodging situated outside the forest of Bwindi.
Following an early cup of tea/coffee, then decide on lunch and move to the park offices. Meet with all the rangers, and delegate which family of gorillas you will have to track. After a detailed explanation, we will be escorted to the start of the trek where you will head into the jungle. There will be a professional ranger who will be there for assistance. It's a trek but quite ambient, with a lot of scenery along with wildlife sightings. You're permitted no more than the hour interacting and engaging with these apes when you find the family. Return move to the park offices and to satisfy your driver to get your Gorilla trekking certification and transfer to your lodging dine to relax, and immediately.
Check out and embark on the return journey, where you will make a stopover as you push through Mbarara. Then go driving across the Lake Mburo National Park. You may see zebras and impalas grazing. You may make another stopover in an opportunity to buy some crafts, and also Mpigi to get some picture minutes in Uganda Equator point. Then visit Kampala and arrive late afternoon. We'll drop off at your hotel where you can pack your belongings, after which we will escort you to the airport.
