Exploring the local island by bicycle or safari in a jeep for experiencing the local culture or spending time on picnics and beach barbecues with friends and family is also what some guests love after a fun day.

Guests who are eager to learn diving techniques can get special training, get comfortable, and then go out to sea for a wonderful, stress-free experience. For snorkeling, too, all equipment is available, and some resorts offer boat trips to snorkeling hotspots for guests. Further, highly qualified instructors are always there to help guests learn the basics of windsurfing so that they can head out on the waters safely alone. Day 1 |
Island of Gan After arriving at Male International Airport, take a flight to the island of Gan. Visit one of the longest beaches (7.8 km) here on the Island and spend the day by exploring the luxurious jewels of untouched reefs and discovering the ancestral and cultural heritage of the local's islanders. Stay in the guest house overnight. |
Day 2 |
Kayaking After breakfast in the guest house, explore the underwater world by water diving, kayaking, and snorkeling in Maldives. For guests who have not trained kayaks, guides and trainers are available to teach the guests how to paddle easily and maneuver the kayak before heading off into the sea. Relax in the guest house in the evening. |
Day 3 |
Jeep safari and Hedika testing Spend the morning sunbathing on the beach or snorkeling. The afternoon is the best time for jeep safari around Gan for exploring the local vegetable farm, fish factory, and historical places to understand the Maldivian way of living. To end the day, a visit to the local café to taste Maldivian savory and sweet short eats traditionally called 'Hedika' is a must. Stay in the guesthouse back in the Gan overnight. |
Day 4 |
Scuba-diving Learn how to scuba-dive from professionals and begin your day by understanding the basic skills of scuba diving in Maldives from PADI registered dive school. With trained professionals available for guidance, dive with the experts and explore the underworld paradise stress-free. Guests here can also go for a snorkeling and boat trip if they don't want to scuba-dive. Spend the night in the guesthouse. |
Day 5 |
Bicycle trip Start the day by learning how to stand up on a paddleboard from an instructor. Test your skills on the beach before going out to the sea. Guests who like to inspect the area, can go for a bicycle ride alongside the Link Road, and ride slowly admiring the sight of palm trees connecting Gan to the islands of Maandhoo, Fonadhoo, Kadhdhoo. Head back before the night to the guest house. |
Day 6 |
Relax on the beach Make the best out of the day by taking a dip into the ocean or going surfing. You can also chill-out under the sun and enjoy the beach view. Brilliantly colored tropical fish awaits when guests get down to the reef for underwater exploration. Fishing trips and diving trips are also arranged for guests in case if some are interested. |
Day 7 |
Visit Picnic Island Visit picnic island and spend your whole day snorkeling in the crystal clear water. With less current in the water, this is the best place for guests who are beginners in snorkeling. Discover amazing coral trees underwater here and spend the rest of the day relaxing, swimming, or sunbathing. In the afternoon relish the BBQ lunch prepared on the Island and head back to the guest house in Gan for spending the night. |
Day 8 |
Back to Male airport After breakfast, take a flight back to the Male airport in the afternoon. Then head back home with the memories of an awe-inspiring journey you just had. The Maldives with a huge array of over water and under water-based activities is surely going to the top in the list of the destinations you visited. |
