ITINERARY - 14 Days
Day 1

Arrival at Delhi

Meet our representative at the hotel and transfer to the hotel.

 

Delhi is a city where you can experience real time-travel. Aboard your time machine by stepping into old Delhi, where you can find laborers haul spices and jewelers weigh their gold on scales. Moving to modern Delhi, you witness the colonial era of high, colorful parliament buildings for high tea. Then traveling further towards the future, we move to Gurgaon, where you will find skyscraping offices and malls. There are so many things you can experience here.

 

In the evening, visit the Nizamuddin Dargah and listen to some Sufi music (open only on Thursdays.) This is a nice escape from your routine life. This is the Dargah of the famous Sufi saint, Nizamuddin Auliya. You can find the tombs of Amir Khusrao, Mughal princess Jehan Ara Begum, and Inayat Khan. Overnight will be in Delhi.

Day 2

Delhi

Post breakfast, proceed to your tour of Old Delhi.

 

The tour begins with a visit to Raj Ghat. This place offers a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Proceeding further by traveling to the Red Fort built and then continuing to the Jama Masjid. The Red Fort was built during 1638-48 during the Mughal Empire. The tour continues to the Jama Masjid, one of Asia's largest mosques.

 

Enjoy the rickshaw rides through the lanes of Chandni Chowk.

 

Post-lunch, we travel towards New Delhi. The division between New and Old Delhi is respectively between the capitals of the British and The Mughals. They also mark the division in lifestyles. Old Delhi is striving to keep the traditions alive, whereas New Delhi is living up to the 21st century standards.

 

The imperial part of Delhi includes the Qutb Minar, the tallest stone tower in India. On this tour, we drive past the India Gate, the Parliament building, and the Rastrapathi Bhawan, the President’s residence. You might be able to visit the famous lotus temple if time permits. It is open to all faiths for worship and meditation.

Evening–visit to the Akshardham Temples.

Overnight it will be in Delhi.

Day 3

Delhi–Varanasi

Breakfast will be at the hotel post which you will be transferred to the hotel for your flight to Varanasi. Meet our representative there and transfer to your hotel.

 

Also known as Benaras, this is one of the oldest cities in the world. This is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for the Hindu devotees. In Hindu mythology, they believe that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth. The Ganges river is believed to wash away the sins of the believers.

 

Afternoon- you will be guided for the tour of Varanasi including the tour of the Bharat Mata temple, the Durga temple, also known as the "Monkey Temple," and then proceeding towards the Tulsi Manas temple. You can find the entire Ramayana inscribed on their walls. Also, visit the BHU, considered to be the biggest residential university in Asia. The university is home to the mosque of Aurangzeb and houses an art gallery.

 

Enjoy the evening Aarthi at the Ghats.

 

Overnight at Varanasi.

Day 4

Varanasi–Khajuraho

Early in the morning around 5 am, drive towards the Daswamedh ghat to take a boat ride across the sacred Ganges river. Experience the tradition and culture of the Hindu Devotees. Before the sun rises, you will be dropped at the banks of the river. Board the boat and witness thousands of devotees coming to the river to bathe and pray. Return for a walk on the banks of the river. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple while returning to the hotel.

Return for breakfast to the hotel.

Post breakfast, proceed for your next North India Tour packages destination, Sarnath. This is 5 miles away from Varanasi. Buddha gave his sermon here. Many Buddhists still come here as it is one of the 4 key sites of the Buddhist culture.

 

In the afternoon, catch your flight to Khajuraho.

Day 5

Khajuraho–Orchha–Jhansi–Agra

Rise early after an amazing breakfast to experience the next half of your North India Packages tour. Today, you will proceed to tour the famous Khajuraho temples. You can find the architecture of the temples interesting as they depict the eastern and western set of temples.

 

You will then continue to travel towards Orchha by road. This place is home to many temples built in the 16th and 17th centuries. The Fort Complex is the main attraction of the place.

 

Later, proceed towards Jhansi for your train to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra, our representative will be meeting you there and will help you out with the formalities to check in to the hotel.

 

Overnight at Agra.

Day 6

Agra

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and proceed for the sightseeing of the beautiful city of Agra. Agra is situated on the banks of River Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh. This city was discovered by Sikander Lodi of the Delhi Sultanate.

 

The Taj Mahal is the main attraction here in the city. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. You will be dumbstruck by the beauty of the destination. The quality of the workmanship was uncomparable.

 

Proceeding towards the Agra Fort, it was built in Akbar's reign. It took more than 400 workers at the time for nearly 8 years. It remained the primary destination for the Mughals until 1638. It is home to many structures such as the Jahangir Mahal, Khas Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Machchhi Bhawan, and Moti Masjid. The Mughals shifted their capital from Delhi to Agra in 1638. Agra Fort is a world heritage site.

 

Post lunch, proceed for a heritage walk on the banks of river Yamuna.

 

The other side of the Taj Mahal has been written in edicts of stone. Enjoy the view of the Taj Mahal from this side. Overnight will be at Agra.

Day 7

Agra–Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri

Today, you will drive past Fatehpur Sikri to arrive at Jaipur. Fatehpur Sikri was the capital of the Mughal Empire for a short period. According to history, Akbar visited this city to meet Sheik Salim Chisti who has predicted the birth of the heir for the throne. After his prophecy came true, Akbar moved here and made this city the capital and built a mosque and a palace for his three favorite wives.

 

Continue your drive towards Jaipur and check-in at the hotel.

 

Jaipur, also known as the pink city is Rajasthan's capital city. The city has colorful, chaotic streets. You can find various modes of transfer here ranging from buses, cycle-rickshaws, motorbikes, and auto rickshaws.

 

In the evening, visit the Birla Temple. Constructed in 1988, this temple is abode to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.

Day 8

Jaipur

Breakfast at the hotel and later proceed for an excursion of the Amber Fort on your North India tour Packages. Enjoy the elephant ride on your tour.

 

Proceeding to the city palace- It was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh-II. This place is a fusion of the Mughal and Rajput architecture. The palace occupies 1/7th of the area of Old Jaipur.

 

Next stop, Jantar Mantar. This is an astronomical site built in the 18th century. This includes 20 fixed instruments. This is one of India's most significant historic observatories.

 

The Hawa Mahal- This structure is made of pink and red sandstone. This building was built in a crown shape of Lord Krishna. It has 953 windows. This depicts the rich heritage of the Rajputs.

 

Later, in the afternoon, take a walking tour of the Old Bazaar. Here, they still use traditional methods to produce items. In the evening, try the yummy street food, the pakoras, samosas, aloo-Tikki, and sweets.

 

Overnight at Jaipur.

Day 9

Jaipur- Udaipur

After your breakfast, you will drive to Udaipur.

 

Udaipur is known for its romantic setting in Rajasthan. It is home to many palaces, temples, and bazaars. Explore the city of its tiny shops, preferable on wheels, feet, or horseback rides.

 

 

In the evening, proceed to the cruise on Lake Pichola. You will be able to sight the city of Udaipur from the middle of the desert. Also, visit the Jag Mandir Palace.

 

Overnight at Udaipur.

Day 10

Udaipur

Post breakfast, proceed for the tour of the city palace of Udaipur. This is the largest palace in Rajasthan built by various maharanas. Still managing the uniformity in its design.

 

Saheliyon ki Bari was built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the 18th century to please his princess. This place has 4 pools with chiseled kiosks, elephants, and lions out of marble. This exhibits the picture of the bygone era. This place was used by the Kings for leisure.

 

Bagore ki Haveli depicts splendid architecture built by Amir Chand Badwa, the chief minister of the Mewar Royal Court. When Amir died, the haveli came under the possession of the Mewar states.

 

Jagdish Temple, built by Maharana Jagat Singh, is one of the most famous temples of Udaipur. Made of Indo-Aryan style, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This is the largest temple in the city.

 

In the evening, proceed to the Monsoon Palace to experience a beautiful sunset. The Palace is also known as the Sajjan Garh Palace. Built to overlook Maharana Singh's hometown.

 

Overnight at Udaipur.

Day 11

Udaipur–Mumbai–Goa

Catch your flight to experience the last 3 days of your memorable North India tour packages to Goa via Mumbai.

 

Goa is the smallest state in the country along the western coast yet most popular among guests. It is home to many beaches namely the Baga, the Calangute, Anjuna, and many more. Goa has so much more to offer besides chilling at the beaches. Explore the city to witness the churches, forts, old homes, and the baroque architecture. Spend the night in your hotel before calling it a day.

Day 12

Goa

Post breakfast, begin sightseeing in Goa. There are many churches here that you can visit. Namely, The Basilica of Bom Jesus, Colva, Portuguese Catholic Church of Old Goa, Mormugao, and Margao are some of the most prominent places and destinations.

 

Also tour along the Mayem Lake, Mapusa town, the Vagatorbeach, Fort Aguada, and the Calangute and Anjuna beaches.

Day 13

Goa

We dedicate this whole day to spend time in the sun and the sand. After breakfast, we head out towards the beach and indulge in activities such as adventure sports, lazy mooring, or beach walks.

 

Enjoy the different cuisines. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14

Goa-Departure

Post breakfast, it's time to bid goodbye to your North India tour packages. Our representative will meet you and transfer you to the airport from where you can catch your plane to your onward journey.
