Day 1 |
Arrive in Buenos Aires After having a comfortable flight, you will arrive at the International Airport in Buenos Aires, and then you will be transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel, or you can explore the astounding architecture of Buenos Aires. |
Day 2 |
Fly to Ushuaia On the second day, you will fly to Ushuaia to begin your Patagonia luxury tour. Known as 'Antarctica's Gateway,' Ushuaia was previously a missionary outpost and a prison town. It has an exciting setting between the rough glaciated peaks and the Beagle Channel. The mountains of the area attract a lot of hiking expeditions along with the rugged landscapes of the region.
You can spend time with your guides by exploring the trails, enjoying the views from the Beagle Channel, and learning the region's natural and human history. The guests amongst you can also explore the Museo Marítimo and Museo del Presidio, which served as a prison for about 800 prisoners till 1947! |
Day 3 |
Explore the Tierra del Fuego National Park Lying towards the north of Ushuaia, the Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego is the first coastal national park in Argentina. The national park has a well-built trail system with easy and undemanding paths, making it a perfect place for relaxing while exploring stunning Patagonia. You can wander along the coastal path of the national park, and you can also take the three and a half hour hike that will take you through the forests of deciduous beech, winter bark, evergreen beech, fire brush, etc. After completing the walk at Lake Roca, you can have lunch, and later you can climb into inflatable canoes and paddle downstream to the Ovando River. The sparkling water of the Ovando River runs into Laguna Verde and is amongst the most picturesque spots in the park. You may get to spot petrels, steamer ducks, albatross, and sometim es, penguins in the Lapataia Bay. After exploring the Tierra del Fuego National Park, you will return to Ushuaia and transfer directly to their luxurious ship for an extraordinary cruise. |
Days 4 - 6 |
Relax on the Patagonia cruise You will spend the upcoming days cruising through the inlets, channels, fjords, and various islands of Patagonia. You will also get to experience the wondrous beauty of the region ashore. The Patagonia luxury tour will organize informative slideshows regarding the region so that you could grasp some knowledge about the flora and fauna of the region. The crew of the ship will provide excellent hospitality to you. You will be able to spot the amazing wildlife, the Darwin Mountain range, and the glaciers from the decks of the ship. |
Day 7 |
Explore Punta Arenas On the early morning of the seventh day, you will land at Magdalena Island. Home to a large rookery of penguins, you will walk to the lighthouse on this island. After arriving in Punta Arenas, you will begin to be transferred to the Torres del Paine National Park along with the other guests traveling to the EcoCamp. You will make a stop at a giant cave known to have sheltered a sloth from the prehistoric period, namely the Milodón. After arriving at the EcoCamp, you can relax at their large igloo-shaped tents that minimize the impact of the environment and provide a comfortable setting. The EcoCamp will consist of candlelight, composting toilets, feather comforters, and plenty of serenity to enjoy the views. |
Days 8 - 9 |
Excursions to Torres del Paine You will have a flexible menu of guided excursions that you can choose based on your interests and energy levels. The options range from easy to difficult hikes and cycling tours. The tour guide will help you reach the stunning Grey Glacier. You will also stop and visit the Salto Grande waterfall and after that, you will take a short hike to the Mirador Nordenskjold for experiencing the picturesque views of the French Valley and the Los Cuernos. During the afternoon, you will board the ferry and go to Lago Grey. If you are interested in hiking, you can hike to the foot of the El Paine. If the weather permits, you will get to experience the most stunning sight of the Torres del Paine - the three granite monoliths at a height of 9,400 feet. While some of you would want to relax at the EcoCamp to enjoy the views, the others can take a walk of the region by themselves. Spa services and Horseback riding can also be arranged as per your demand. |
Day 10 |
Visit the stunning El Calafate After having breakfast on the tenth day, you will be transferred to the Chile-Argentina border where you will board a comfortable bus to El Calafate. The El Calafate is the gateway to the famous Moreno Glacier and the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. The drive will take approximately 4 hours, and after reaching, you will stay at a beautiful lodge. Covering an area of Patagonian Steppe, the homestead is a unique ecosystem comprising lakes, lagoons, and rivers. You will enjoy multiple trails and get to spot some of the birds amongst the 40 species of migrating birds that pass through the area. Being a working ranch, the homestead will allow you to take a tour of the shearing sheds and watch the working sheepdogs. |
Day 11 |
Explore the Perito Moreno Glacier You will drive to the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares and go to experience the remarkable Perito Moreno Glacier. The width of the glacier is more than 3 miles and the front is over 20 stories high. After boarding a boat, you will get to sail across Lago Argentino and pass the giant front wall of blue ice. Once you land on the small beach, you will start the hike that will take you through the forest to the face of the glacier, where you will get to hike on the ice! You will eat your lunch on the glacier's parallel moraine so that you can enjoy the magnificence of the glacier and listen to its groaning and cracking ice dropping into the lake underneath. Apart from getting excellent photographic views, you might also get a chance to spot the Andean Condor or the Buff-necked Ibis. |
Day 12 |
Fly Home On the early morning of the twelfth day, you will be transferred to the airport for catching the morning flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival at the Buenos Aires airport, you will be connected to connecting flights homeward for concluding your Patagonia luxury tour. |
