Prepare for Your Kenya Safari Tour: Expert Tips for Planning Your Adventure

Best Time to Visit Kenya

Timing is crucial to making the most of your Kenya Explorer safari tours. Understanding the seasons and migration patterns will make sure that you witness the natural wonders at their most spectacular.

Kenya is a year-round safari destination. It is busiest during the dry season, which is from June to October, when the lack of greenery and water causes wildlife to gather near lakes, making them easy to locate and witness. However, the second half of August to October, when the Great Migration commonly occurs, is the most crowded period to go on safari. This is especially noticeable in the Masai Mara.

Higher rainfall during the rest of the year results in thick, lush vegetation. The wildlife areas are serene at this time, and the majority of the animals give birth to their young. However, when it actually pours, typically between April and May, airstrips and roads become blocked, and some lodges close until the weather clears.

When you should travel mostly depends on your preferences and the sights to see. The option is clear for those who simply wish to witness the Great Migration. In the months of June through November, first-timers targeting the Big Five would also succeed. Anyone looking for a fantastic safari experience can, however, travel at any time of year.

Feel free to get in touch with us if you are confused about when to book your safari. Our team of expert guides is committed to ensuring that your Kenya Safari tours precisely match your preferences and expectations. After all, a genuine Kenyan safari is about experiencing the wildlife, culture, and landscapes in the way that best appeals to you.
